Forthcoming 2010 Events
16th September ●●●●●●●●●●●● Club social at ??? starting at 20:00
As anyone any suggestion where this can be held?
The original suggestion of The Lion at Llandinam from Alan Dunstan has foundered because it has closed for business - another example of the current recession we’re in. Stan has made preliminary arrangements with The Abermule Hotel if nowhere else comes to light. So, get your thinking caps on and come up with suggestions which are open. Contact Stan on 01686 621354
3rd October ●●●●●●●●●●●● MGOC’s Autumn Road Run
Book early for this Autumn Road Run which finishes at Burghley House, Stamford, Lincolnshire. Visit England's greatest Elizabethan House built between 1555 and 1564, enjoy the extensive gardens and parkland stretching to over 2000 acres. The restaurant and cafe offer a wide range of refreshments from drinks to full meals. Cost £35 per car (2 persons). Tickets include MGOC HQ tour, tea and biscuits on arrival, entry to Burghley House and gardens, parking in front of Burghley House, rally board, 2 finishers badges, pen and route book. All set for a great day out - one of the last runs of the season for those over-wintering their MG in a nice warm garage.

17th December ●●●●●●●●●●●● Club Christmas Dinner - 19:30 for 20:00
Last year no one would decide what date the Christmas dinner would be on - most wanted it nearer to the great day. In the end nothing happened and I went hungry. Not so this year. Stan has already booked the Cefn Coch Inn for FRIDAY 17th DECEMBER so please make a note of the date now. As before the meal will be partly subsided for members by club funds, and members are urged to bring along their relatives, or friends to swell the numbers. If we all make an effort we’ll have a super time to end the current year.
Costs and the menu will be posted as soon as I received them. All meals must be pre-booked - an order form will be available to download soon. Contact Stan if you require further information.
